Door Politics
What a bummer, I'm on the phone I go into a room I don't close the door behind me but leave "the 2 inch gap". *1* I know that if I'm on the phone and I close the door the first thing my mom will do is come in and ask "who are you on the phone with?", then in her supposed haste to leave she leaves the door wide open ( so she can listen to my conversation). Well today I gave her "the 2 inch gap" but, she came in and demanded to know the person I was on the phone with anyway. Being a teenager I tell my parents as little as possible. So she had no idea who the person I was talking to was. This added to the whole thing because my mom thinks every girl I talk to is a girlfriend and gets really annoyed with me. Either way, the "deal" is, teenagers leave "the 2 inch gap" and parents shouldn't be so nosey.
*1* "The 2 inch gap" has been passed down from generation to generation as a way for children to let parents know everything is ok (well not always, just don't come in).
